The most effective way to rapidly advance veterinary standards and promote animal welfare and species conservation is through intensive professional exchange. Such collaboration also fosters collegial friendships and intercultural understanding. This sponsorship is specifically dedicated to enabling regular knowledge transfer.

This sponsorship enables the humane control of the dog population in rural villages. The project not only promotes animal welfare through professional sterilization but also protects human health by reducing the risk of rabies. It likewise supports wildlife conservation, as educating dog owners helps to curb poaching by free-roaming dogs. With a contribution of €300 you make it possible for 3 female dogs in remote villages to be pain-free, professionally sterilized and vaccinated against rabies.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference
Your donation or sponsorship directly supports the work of VetPro in Rwanda, a non-profit international project. Through your contribution, you help provide better care for animals in need while supporting the hands-on training of local veterinarians and students. In doing so, you not only promote animal welfare, but also contribute to the sustainable development of communities and to a healthier human–animal relationship in Rwanda.
Rwanda is a country of remarkable progress, yet with limited veterinary resources. Especially in rural areas, there is a shortage of trained professionals, basic veterinary care, and public awareness. This situation often leads to avoidable animal suffering, as well as social and economic challenges for families who depend on healthy livestock for their livelihoods.
At present, donations to VetPro are not yet tax-deductible. We are already working on making your support eligible for tax benefits in the future. Your donation goes 100% directly into our projects in Rwanda — right where help is needed most.
Support for NVVH is possible through donations, a sponsoring membership with the VetPro Association, or—after prior consultation—through in-kind donations of new or nearly new items. We also warmly welcome veterinarians from all countries who wish to contribute their expertise and teaching experience. 
In principle, hands-on involvement and support from veterinarians from other countries are both welcome and possible. Details and areas of activity are discussed and planned individually. Please feel free to contact us via the provided form.
